Unfortunately, we are not able to process credit card donations at this time, but are able to receive matching gifts and direct employee designated donations through many employers throughout the state. Your Dollars at Work

The sad facts: According to the Ann E. Casey Foundation, 472,000 children in NJ are living in single parent homes. RAINBOWS  has 196 sites in NJ reaching just 1% of those children. These children are considered at risk because they are twice as likely to:

  • develop a psychiatric illness;
  • become addicted to drugs or alcohol;
  • attempt suicide, or to actually kill themselves.
These findings were reported in The Lancet Medical journal 1/03


A brighter future: The University of Illinois conducted a study on RAINBOWS in 2002. Their findings concluded that: “Rainbows programs provide several protective functions”:

  • enhances children’s self esteem;
  • helps them to better understand their feelings;
  • supports their use of effective coping strategies.
$51.00 will pay for one child to attend RAINBOWS

Another Great Fundraising Idea
Ask us about "Little People Pins"! We will be selling these eye-catching pins at shops around the state as an ongoing fundraiser.

Lucinda Yates has been making original, hand-crafted pins since 1989, as a way to assist local nonprofits. Nonprofit agencies purchase the pins for $6.95 and sell them for $14.00. Each nonprofit signs a contract with Lucinda agreeing to this arrangement. You can visit her website at www.lucinda.com.
