Happy Halloween from “My Rainbows Place” in Denville!
Every year is a special year for the kids and families at My Rainbows Place in Denville, but this year’s annual Halloween Party at St. Francis Residential Center was the scariest and most entertaining yet! Thanks to the efforts of an amazing group of caring facilitators and coordinators who pull together party supplies, treats, and decorations for the celebration, dozens of children and families enjoyed a night of great food, fun crafts, and the highlight of the night, a professional magician who captivated his audience with thrilling magic tricks and illusions.
Rainbows NJ was happy to provide a special addition to this year’s Halloween party, which came in the form of a donation of dozens of children’s costumes to the Rainbows NJ office earlier in the week. Thanks to the generosity of Raphael Latiolais, a local community resident who took the time to research local children’s charities that might benefit from such a donation, Rainbows NJ Director Alice Forsyth brought the beautiful costumes to the children at the Denville Rainbows group, where they were shared amongst the participants. There were princess costumes, and of course pirates, there were fairies with wings, and little baby bumble bees – all just in time to enjoy for Halloween a few days away!
